Laser Engraved Jack o Lantern

Having used the laser cutter on other non-conventional materials (such as melting sand into glass) I put a pumpkin into the 80w CO2 laser cutter to see if I could create a fancy jack o lantern without any of the work. The depth variance of the surface affected the cut and created some blackened spots due to the beam falling out of focus, but the result still turned out decent and won a $50 giftcard in a pumpkin carving contest! Ethical, maybe not, but I included a disclaimer and wasn't the judge...
