High School Spring 2021, Group Project

Our group was tasked with creating a integrated smart house model with automatic doors, locks, security system, and functional water dispenser. While the form factor and finish may not be the best compared to other projects, each complex feature worked and was integrated successfully. A Raspberry Pi read multiple sensors, such as door and window position, motion detection, water level, and ambient audio to provide a functional model. The multiple mechanical and electrical systems provided a great learning experience on the integration challenges between the two. I worked on the automatic water dispenser with its fill and detection system, the door opening mechanism and lock, the wiring diagram, and the company logo and website.
